Our Team

The Maryland Committee on Trauma is comprised of 11 Trauma Centers, including 9 Adult and 2 Pediatric centers, that are integral to the Maryland Trauma System.

Trauma centers provide specialized trauma care with specific resources to care for trauma patients. Unlike typical Emergency Departments, trauma centers are equipped to handle all forms of traumatic injuries and have the sub-specialists needed to care for the most critical patients.

These centers offer specialized care in various fields, including trauma surgery, orthopedic surgery, critical care, and rehabilitation, ensuring that trauma patients receive the highest level of care.
