Child Passenger Safety Class: Maryland KISS Program

The KISS program offers classes and resources on properly installing and using car seats, booster seats, and seat belts for children. They also provide car seat inspection events.

First-Time Driver Education Programs: Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration

The MVA offers a structured driver program for first-time drivers, including both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training. This program is essential for obtaining a Maryland driver’s license.

R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center: Safe Driving and Drinking Driver Monitor Program (DDMP) 

Shock Trauma offers a monthly educational program hosted on-site at Shock Trauma. It is offered on the second Wednesday of each month for a $155 fee. This class is intended for individuals who have operated a vehicle while intoxicated or impaired. 

  • Class is only offered in person
  • Pre-registration is required, walk-ins are not permitted
  • Individuals who are more than 10 minutes late will not be allowed entry
  • English and Spanish offered

Zero Deaths Maryland Highway Safety Office

Zero Deaths Maryland is a state initiative focused on eliminating roadway fatalities and serious injuries in Maryland though education, enforcement, engineering, and emergency medical services. The website offers resources and information to promote safe driving and reduce traffic related injures.
